APPLICATIONS
MODEL 776E MODEL 776 THE MODEL 776E IS GENERALLY SUITED FOR MEASURING THE TRANSMISSION LOSS THROUGH TRANSPARENT MATERIALS OR FILTER MATERIALS SUCH AS WINDOW FILMS AND SCREENS. IT HAS THE SENSOR LOCATED ON THE TOP END OF THE METER BODY SO THE METER CAN BE POINTED AT A SOLAR SOURCE AND "BEFORE" AND "AFTER" MEASUREMENTS CAN BE MADE. THE MODEL 776 IS IDEAL FOR MEASURING THE SOLAR ENERGY ABSORBED BY A FLAT PANEL COLLECTOR SUCH AS A PHOTO VOLTAIC PANEL OR SOLAR WATER HEATER. HAS THE SENSOR LOCATED ON THE FRONT OF THE METER BODY SO IT CAN BE PLACED FLAT ON THE SURFACE AND THE MEASUREMENT READ DIRECTLY FROM THE SCALE.
OTHER MEASUREMENTS CAN ALSO BE ESTIMATED
- TO ESTIMATE THE TOTAL INSOLATION OVER A PERIOD OF TIME, SEVERAL READINGS CAN BE TAKEN AND SUMMED TO OBTAIN THE TOTAL.
- DIFFUSE RADIATION CAN BE ESTIMATED BY SHADOWING THE SENSOR CELL.
- PERFORMANCE OF CONCENTRATION SYSTEMS, LENS, MIRRORS, ETC. CAN BE ESTIMATED BY COVERING PART OF THE SILICON SENSOR.
